(I should point out that fontifier gives you the chance to preview your font--which is very helpful.  It gave me the chance to tweak my character set quite a bit with Photoshop.  I could have spent a whole day noodling with the font, but in the end I figured if I did that I'd never actually create the font at all.

I'm sure there are some purists out there who will dismiss using a computer font to letter a comic, even if the font is your actual handwriting.  But for me, going this route will really speed things up for me in the long run.  I should also point out that the kerning on the font as it appears above is -50.
